There's a little nature spot here, actually on the other part of New Brighton Road, you walk down the tracks a little and then it opens up in to a loop that ends with cliff and beach views, you can also then make the trek down to the beach from there.

This is a functioning and amazing small sustainable farm on the UCSC campus. I grew up on campus and used to walk around here all the time admiring everything. Look but don't touch or pick and be polite and you're welcome here.

Hands down my favorite nature spot in Santa Cruz. Rolling hills, gorgeous canyons, sweeping views of the bay and ocean, little bridges crossing creeks, usually barely any people. Parking is a little far down the street but it's worth it.

The Santa Cruz County Fungus Fair usually happens in January, we have some of the best (in my opinion) and most diverse mushrooms in the US. Santa Cruz is world famous for our fungi.
