Booking was incredibly easy and the host was very responsive from start to finish. The property is located just outside of town in the peaceful countryside, offering a relaxing overnight stay with the convenience of a quick return to town when needed. The area is spacious and well-kept, with a nice circle drive that made parking easy. We were traveling with our dogs, and they had plenty of room to roam. The nearby walking trail was perfect for a little outdoor time, and the presence of horses on the property added a charming, serene touch. One of the highlights of our stay was watching the gorgeous sunset—it was absolutely stunning and the perfect way to end the day. Highly recommend, a perfect stop to rest and recharge. We’d definitely stay again!

host was nice but she falsely accused me of an incident that happened at the apartments next door. offered to pay for the bathroom towel rack that fell off and outta the wall and the small hole in wall. she denied it and told me to grow up before even asking what happened

We loved our stay at the Black Thistle! Was so perfect for our family to stay in while visit family close by- would absolutely rent again when we come back!

Dom was very helpful giving directions as to how to get into the place and making sure we checked in and out without any problems. Nice quiet area everything was great and Dom was super nice and attentive.

Peaceful, Clean, and Conveniently located to get some rest. Definitely would stay again when in the area or passing thru.

We loved it here. The drive in, then the total silence except for birds. Our daughter loved playing on the playground! Our dog loved roaming the backyard a bit. It was just a peaceful, comfortable place to relax after a long day driving.

We have stayed many places in Lawrence over the years - and this is by far our favorite! Our hosts were warm and welcoming, the property is cozy and comfortable with no details missed, the yard is park-like and beautiful, and the neighborhood is peaceful, yet walkable to the KU area and Mass Street. Our only regret is that we didn't find it sooner since our son graduates in a few weeks. Whenever we return to Lawrence - we will look to book here again first. nice spot. small and comfy. open access to laundry and kitchen area as well as kitchenette in our room. super comfy, super quiet, beautiful artwork and remodel. Highly recommend!

Kore’s place was exactly like the pics! We were right on Mass street in downtown Lawerence which made everything very accessible! Only thing I can say is that there are 25 stairs to get into the apartment (yes I counted) and if you have bad knees or accessibility needs this may not be the place for you. Other than that would recommend this place 100x’s over! Thank you!

Staci is a great host and the Airbnb is beautifully decorated, clean with lot is amenities. I highly recommend staying at this Airbnb!!!!

This was such a cute little place, we enjoyed our stay so much! It had lovely decor and was in a beautiful location perfect for walking to local coffee shop. This was one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in. It was so lovely!

Great location for KU visit while having all the perks of Mass St. shops/restaurants/shopping steps away. Fun garage door open concept was perfect on a spring day and the Saturday farmers market right outside was a pleasant bonus. Once we mastered the parking app, things simplified- but it was a bit confusing at first as the app was having some technical issues with location. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and host was quickly responsive with some TV issues we had. We would definitely stay at The Happy Hawk again.

This place is in the heart of Lawrence. It’s a perfect location to walk to all the hot spots of college attractions. The apartment was clean and felt newer. Many small amenities like coffee bar and snacks. Well worth the amount paid.

We came to Lawrence to visit our daughter. This place was perfect for lounging in the evenings- family game night, movies, time to catch up. The couch is a pull out, so plenty of space. Darling Farmer’s Market in the parking lot Sat. mornings. Great location! We plan on booking again!

This was a great place to stay for my husband & I. Amanda & Layla thought of everything! Very comfortable king size bed, well stocked kitchen, comfortable couch, nice island with comfy barstools, etc. walkable to all the fun restaurants & boutiques on Mass St. We loved it so much that we’ll be staying there again very soon!
