The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Unwind in a spacious tiny home on a working farm with vegetables, herbs, fruits, dairy goats, sheep, and chickens. We love sharing our farmstead with guests and also understand if guests prefer tranquil time to themselves. We are a 20 min drive to Dragon's Tooth, and 10 minutes to VA42 (Kelly Knob or the Keffer Oak).

Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

Harry's House, Scenic Charm Minutes From Lewisburg

Welcome! Harry's House was the tenant farm house on my husband's family farm just a short five minutes from downtown Lewisburg. Enjoy a spectacular pastoral farm setting while staying in this cozy, ecclectically farmhouse funky cottage with amazing sunsets! Available for 1-3 people, Harry and his wife had 12 children (eeks!). The main bedroom has a comfy queen size bed. Enjoy an inviting living room, cotton linens, complete kitchen with coffee maker, toaster oven, and microwave.

The Cottage on Edgar Drive contains 1200 square feet with two very large bedrooms on each end and a central living/dining/cooking area. Both bedrooms have closet space and full bathrooms. Enjoy coffee and refreshments on the screened-in porch. The cottage is within walking distance of downtown Lewisburg's shops and restaurants, and is also conveniently located to other area attractions. The owner lives in the main house and enjoys sharing her collections with guests.

Today, the house is tastefully appointed where expected - & comfortable to modern standards - yet, it has been left as charming, rustic & cozy as it had always been: with elements of the original decor, windows, plaster walls, etc., being preserved.
