Located just 2 hours from Houston, our little lake house retreat is the perfect getaway. Whether you enjoy sitting around the fire with family and friends, hitting the lake for fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, or just lounging on the large floating water mat, we have you covered. At the end of the day, fire up the Traeger grill or Traeger Flatrock griddle and enjoy dining out on the deck while taking in the amazing views of the lake as the sun goes down. The Cottage is in Kountze at Angel Gardens Wedding Venue. BIRDS, great for bird watching. It’s 8 beautiful acres, trails with a gazebo and pond. You will have privacy because we don’t book the Cottage and Wedding at the same time.. Plenty free parking . Comes with one double bed, couch and chair, cabinets with sink and some dishes. Also microwave and fridge and TV with WiFi and spectrum. One mile from town with several fast food restaurants. 10 miles from the Big Thicket National Preserve.

The Apartment at Grateful Gulley

Quiet and restful, our hide-away apartment is the perfect getaway if you are looking for a place to relax, unwind, and recharge! Nestled into six acres of private forested land, this apartment has everything you need for the perfect stay, including a deck overlooking the forest and property, a desk and work area, spacious living room, and queen-sized bedroom. Local activities, Livingston Lake, the Sam Houston Wine Trail, and quaint downtown, are all within a few miles drive.

Relax and enjoy the beauty of this peaceful private lake with lakefront cabin. Full kitchen, with complimentary coffee and tea, queen bed, private full bathroom. A large, covered porch. Fire pit and charcoal grill are provided as well as a Kayak and paddle boat for your enjoyment. Kayak, fish, or swim or just chill on private pier. Check in 3:00 pm - Check out 11:00 am. Quaint studio guest house located on a private 2 mile lake, ideal for all boating activities including fishing, water skiing or just soaking up the sun. This property is secluded under a shaded canopy of oaks, in a quiet, country setting. A fire pit, BBQ area, swim area and dock, which is fitted with cleats for docking your boat or jet skies, are available for use. Plenty of parking. Pets under 20lbs are allowed with PRE-APPROVAL BEFORE BOOKING ONLY.

We're a short drive from the Big Thicket National Preserve, where you can enjoy hiking, biking, and canoeing, and, if you're feeling lucky, we're just 26 miles from the nearest casino.

We will provide you with the necessities to make your own breakfast at your own pace. Items provided will be milk, cereal, and pancake mix.

Hester Bridge cabin

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway.Cabin is about 50 yards to Big Thicket walking trail, and Hesters Bridge is at the bottom of the hill. You can wet a hook in Turkey creek or walk the trails . Watch out for the wild life, or you can sit back and enjoy the woods from the back porch.
