A most understated Airbnb!! This is a fabulous property which catered superbly for our family of 10. Lovely bedroom and day space, a fully equipped and supplied kitchen and lovely gardens and grounds for the 4 year olds to safely run around. The furniture and fitting are all top quality and it has a lovely air and feel to the property. In a lovely quiet yet beautiful part of the Lake District, (It is just outside the National Park Boundary) it is a great place to stay to explore further if so required, many beautiful lakes and mountains less than 30 mins away. The sea is also a similar distance. Highly recommended.

Loved our stay at this house. The pictures do not do this place justice at all! It was way bigger than expected. The garden was beautiful and had great views with places to sit and enjoy it all. The dog was free to run around as it was totally secure. We enjoyed the use of the bbq for one evening in the house. Beds were very comfy and cosy. The bedroom in the attic was great with a bathroom with a bath. Very relaxing after days of walking! The location of the house is perfect you just have to walk down the hill to get to the local pubs, we also enjoyed the walk up to the copper mine waterfalls. Coniston boating centre is also a walkable distance and we enjoyed taking a boat out, next time I would make more time to do other water activities available down there too! Will recommend this house to others! The only thing I would add would be some comfy outdoor seating with cushions to be able to enjoy spending lots of time out there! 5 stars! Thanks!

Great place, close the the town centre and only 10/15 mins walk to the coast. We were able to find on street parking 5 mins away. The apartment itself had everything we needed, was a large space and the hot tub was a great bonus.

Absolutely loved my stay; I’ve been coming to the Lakes for over 20 years and this place is the ultimate cosy retreat, just what you want to come back to after a long day out walking. The property has everything you need and is very dog friendly; I always come armed with blankets and towels but it makes it so much easier not having to worry about carpets and the coat stand came in very handy for drying things. The location is great; I arrived much later than planned in the dark and found it no problem. It feels very peaceful and private but Windermere high street is within walking distance. I will definitely be back again, thank you for a great stay!

We loved spending Easter weekend in this lovely home. It was well equipped with everything we needed, and we enjoyed both the wood burning stove and the nice sunny terrace after exploring Cockermouth and the Lake District.

We loved our stay at Elizabeth's Air B&B it was immaculately clean, towels and everything you need for self catering. It was just as described and even more lovely than the pictures. It was perfect location for walking distance into Keswick town centre with stunning views. The recommendations where great and was just what we needed for a family of 5 for a short but very sweet holiday. Would highly recommend and stay again. Thank you so much for making our stay so lovely.

Just home from a long weekend with 4 x couples & a dog. Great house that went beyond expectations. It was a brilliant big space, that provided everything we needed. We all absolutely loved the hot tub & the views from the top of the garden, aswell as the fab BBQ decking area. Great location that was a short walk to the centre of Bowness. We couldn't recommend it more & plan on visiting again. Thank you again, Simon!

My family and I stayed in Haylie’s property for a nearby wedding. The property was exactly as described, with plenty of character, comfortable bedrooms and clean bathrooms. Haylie provided everything guests could need and want for a stay, including toiletries and a well stocked kitchen. There are plenty of mirrors too for those groups needing to get ready for a special occasion. The area is very peaceful, with the nearest beach a short distance away. A lovely spot to have a cup of tea in the morning and listen to the birds! The nearest large supermarket is about 10 minutes away. I would recommend for couples and large parties looking to stay in the area. Thanks Haylie!

The property is inside an old building - so it is understandable that any client should expect to deal with some quirks. I mention these below: (1) One needs to open the kitchen vent hood above the cooktop before going in for a shower in the bathroom. This is critical for efficient venting of the bathroom. (2) The ensuite bathroom's shower stall is quite small and if you are a big human, you will find it hard to use. However, there is another bathroom with a tub that will be easily able to accommodate large humans (3) The stairs leading to the unit can be somewhat difficult if you have mobility issues. Also suggest being sober if you will be climbing those steps. The location is outstanding and we were happy to be here. Peter is great at communicating.

This is a lovely ground floor flat in an excellent location, it is very well equipped with a lot of nice features and has everything you could possibly need. It is also really nice to arrive to find coffee, tea, milk, etc when you get off the bus after travelling. There is even a little garden area to sit in or hang things out to dry, which is a big plus. Would recommend. It is fantastic for one person or couple.

From the off, Liz was responsive and helpful. Instructions prior to arrival were clear and everything as we expected. Liz undersold the farm animals around- an unexpected bonus as we sat in the hot tub watching calves! Liz was about and on hand, but not in your face which was ideal for us.

We had a lovely couple of night away. The accommodation was lovely, great view as well!

What a truly wonderful little place, there is so much to do for the kids and my two really did enjoy it! The apartment was absolutely stunning, spotless and also very spacious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a trip away to the lakes be it with children or without. We will definitely be coming back!

was a great stay in Lori's place. We felt right at home and it was so close to the local restaurants, shops and the lake we didn't need to even move the car until we went to explore other areas further out from Windermere. I'll absolutely book my next stay with Lori on my next trip to the Lake District.

Worked really well for us, great location both for town and restaurants (5 mins, Fellpack recommended but book ahead) and local walking. Accommodation was as described, very clean, comfy bed and good / full kitchen equipment. Thanks Steve and Irena.

We had a really lovely stay at Simon and Cath’s place, for a week with our kids. The place was ideal - easy to find, and walkable to the town centre. The accommodation was well laid out and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. Our hosts were extremely helpful, with local tips and advice. Thank you for a great stay! I almost want to gatekeep this place as it's just too good. Such a spacious apartment with everything you could ever need for a very comfortable stay. Having stayed locally several times previously this apartment cannot be beaten for location, facilities and price. Tom was an absolutely fantastic with plenty of information and great communication. Welcome pack and instructions were comprehensive and clear. Highly recommended, we've already booked our next stay.

This is a very peaceful apartment. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle on the weekend, it's one of the best choices. It's easy to find following the instructions, well-equipped, clean and tidy. To my surprise, there's even a picnic basket! It's just perfect.

The Parsonage is just perfect, a really lovely apartment, fantastically equipped with all you need and more, with lovely touches like the roll top bath in the bedroom and the private courtyard that opens out off the bedroom, safe and secure for our dog. The Parsonage is ideally located right next door to Kendal Castle, great walks and beautiful views of Kendal. It’s also just a 10 minute walk into Kendal with plenty of cafes and restaurants serving delicious food and dog friendly too. Patrina is a wonderful host, the special treats left in the fridge were very kind and appreciated, her advice to jump on the bus to Rydal Water and have lunch at the Badger Bar made for the best day out with our dog. It all made for a perfect stay and we’ll definitely be back.

2nd visit here, says it all really we very rarely stay at the same place. Nicely decorated, comfy bed, modern apartment. Everything you could need in the kitchen. Glyn is a great host very helpful and communicates well. Definitely returning next year will be booking asap. Thank you so much for a great stay! See you next year...again!!

The standout for this property was the direct access to the large garden with stunning views. The property has everything needed for a comfortable stay and is in an excellent position with a bus stop a few mins walk and short walk to Grasmere centre. It was nice that the owner provided milk, wine and cake for when we arrived.

Wonderful studio, great amenities and well-stocked breakfast items in the room, available at any time. Plenty of useful products in the bathroom (makeup wipes, cotton pads, aftersun, etc). Plenty of pillows of different firmness, lots of blankets, some board games available in the room, great for a night in. <10min walk from the station and high street. Very pleased overall, would recommend!

Excellent stay at this apartment, we would 100% recommend and rebook! The balcony and view were a particular highlight. We were also grateful for the travel cot for our baby to use. Good amenities available in the kitchen & bathroom. Raluca was a friendly and responsive host and shared helpful information prior to our stay for a smooth and easy check- in and check-out. The apartment was peaceful and quiet. It made for a relaxing and homely stay. We would recommend Whitbarrow itself, it’s a lovely place for a staycation. We made use of the pool, sauna and gym. Overall a fabulous air bnb - we would love to stay again!

We were only staying for one night to attend a family celebration. Communication with Roy was easy from the start. The property was great for a mixed group of 6 adults, 1 nine months old baby and a dog. It was warm, clean and roomy. Thank you very much.
