This is a great place to visit not, in my opinion, because of the art, but because you can visit the site of the Roman amphitheatre. It was on what is now Guildhall Yard and in the basement of the gallery there are the remains of the walls.

Sandwich Guildhall is a wealth of information and located in the entrance to the museum is the local Tourist Board. Here you are able to pick up lots of information of the surrounding attractions.

The home of the Corporation of London, which governs the City. They have an extensive art collection, some of which is on display, & the building has a Roman amphitheatre in the basement!!
