The Umpherston Caves are a 10 minute drive from the cottage. They are spectacular viewing during the daytime, however at night time you can take fruit & bread down to the bottom and feed the ring tailed possums that live there. A wonderful experience with children. The possums are most active after dark. Please note that the stairs to get down to the bottom of the cave are quite steep. The Hideaway coffee & souvenir shop is open during the day Monday to Friday on site.

A sunken garden, take your time and camera. Enjoy a relaxed visit to see this unique garden. Look for the native bees in the walls, head down at dusk and feed the resident possums. Or take a BBQ - where else in the world can you BBQ in a sinkhole!
