3hrs + travel - About 1 hours drive from Wanaka into Mount Aspiring National Park. A stunning walk! The walk is mostly in the shade as it heads up through beautiful native bush. Check with DOC if the track is open before going and note there is about 30mins of driving each way on gravel roads and some very small fords (water) to drive through which are fine if there hasn’t been heavy rain. Confident drivers only :) Well worth the adventure!

This is our top listed day adventure.. We LOVE taking guests here all times of the year. Its New Zealand's TOP half day walk.. up to the face of a glacier...that wont be there in 20-30 years.. as the earth continues to warm
