Be one with the woods, well maintained trail with clear markings. Full outer loop is 7 miles, shorter loop is 2.3 miles.

With a mix of easy/beginner and intermediate loops, about half the trail runs through areas logged in 1976 and 2000. The loop around Shannon Lake is especially scenic. The rest of the gently rolling trail meanders through a variety of northern hardwoods. *Pets not allowed when there is snow or on groomed trails. The trail is groomed by volunteers in the winter for fat tire biking.
