The fountain sculpted in 1419 by the great Sienese sculptor, Jacopo della Quercia, is a focal point of the piazza. The remains of the original sculptures can be viewed in Santa Maria della Scala museum

Any of the bars, restaurants or pizzerias on Piazza del Campo are a great place to hang out in the evening. The piazza is busy until very late especially during the warmer summer months.
