Lovely walk from Melrose to Newstead and beyond to the fort site and the Leaderfoot viaduct. Interpretation signs along the way. Greta views of the Eildons. Ask at the Trimontium museum for details of guided walks.

learn the history of the Roman settlement in the area. great museum definitely worth a visit.
