Gornji Grad translates to Upper Town, reffering to it's historical location on the city's hillside, being above Donji Grad (Lower Town).

Upper Town is a walk through history of Zagreb. You ca easily spend the whole day over there if you have time but if you on a rush then def go just for a walk, to see Crkva Sv Marka, Kamenita vrata and the views. If you have more time then you can organise a lunch at famous Zagreb's Konoba Didov San - where you can try snails if you like them - but also you can go for a long walk, visit Klovicevi dvori but also a Museum of Broken Relationships (very cool concept).
