The levee trail is one of my favorite places to walk. You can find benches all along the path. Locals usually run or walk the "bridge loop" across the Blue Bridge to Lewiston, south to the Bryden Canyon Bridge, then north again - all along the levee path. Both sides are generally safe although the Lewiston side is better lit for evening/night walks.
