Visit the coastal town of Paleochora (on the south coast, about 1 and a half hours from Chania). Best beach there is Anidri beach (AKA Yaliskari) and Viena beach (40 minutes walk from Krios, this is a small cove with Roman pillars nestled in the sea. After swimming, drive to Anidri village and enjoy a traditional Cretan lunch at 'To Sholio' tavern (it means The School, as it is in fact the old village school converted into a tavern).

Gialiskari Beach or Sandy Beach or Anidri Beach. One of the best beaches in the Prefecture of Chania with amazing clear waters that deepen sharply. There is also a naturist section at the far end of the beach. You can lie down under an umbrella or in the shade of trees. The canteen with food and services is at a very good level. It is accessible via a 2.5 km dirt road that leads to a huge free parking space.
