Hikers, cross country skiers and snowshoers unite! Chester Lake is a year-round trail that meanders through forests and meadows leading to the emerald waters of Chester Lake itself. Most of the elevation gain is towards the beginning of the hike before the trail levels off and leads you through beautiful meadows to the lake. LOCATION: To find the trailhead: follow the Smith Dorrien Highway / Spray Lakes Rd 37 kms past the Canmore Nordic Centre, and 2 kilometres past the Mt. Shark Turnoff. ELEVATION CHANGE: 310 m DURATION: 4 Hours Intermediate Level
