I’m partisan but Como Cathedral (1396-1744) is stunning! It’s at the same time simple and majestic and it gives me an idea of purity and sober elegance. Located in downtown heart, easy to reach by walk. Unmissable.

temple, religious. Although largely Gothic in style, elements of Romanesque, Renaissance and baroque can also be seen in Como's imposing, marble-clad duomo . The cathedral was built between the 14th and 18th centuries, and is crowned by a high octagonal dome. Opening hours 7.30am-7.30pm Mon-Sat, to 9.30pm Sun

One of the most beautiful cathedrals in northern Italy, it is characterized by the façade with the statues of Pliny the Elder and Pliny the Younger. Inside it houses important works of art and tapestries.
