"Perfect for the whole family, this moderate hike is about 5km round-trip and ends with stunning views of the lake. It can be busier on the weekends, so hit the trail during the week if you want a more secluded experience. Bear spray is recommend"

This is a favourite local hike that is short and easy - a half day is plenty for this hike. The perfect family hike! The trail winds past a waterfall where it eventually leads you to two majestic turquoise lakes. You can't miss the panoramic views of Canmore that surround you every step of the hike. The trail has two routes. The easy route takes you up a gravel access road with a gentle rising slope to the lake. The difficult route takes you through the wooded trail out to the Grassi Lakes Waterfall before a steep accent to the lake. Grassi Lakes is also a popular rock climbing spot.

Beautiful local hike past a waterfall and around two small turquoise mountain lakes. Above the lakes you will likely see rock climbers.

This is one of the most popular hikes in Canmore ending at twin turquoise lakes. Elevation gain is mild approx. 250 meters and the round trip is around 3.8 Km. The trail splits shortly from the start, for the easier trail keep to the right as it follows along an old access road through the forest. To the left is the more difficult option, which climbs through the forest topping out with a view of Canmore and a waterfall, both trails then meet up and continue on to the lakes. For the adventurous one can scramble above the lakes to find a collection of aboriginal pictographs. DO NOT touch the pictographs, as the oil from your hands will wear them away.
