The confluence of Clear Creek and the Obed River are home of a series of beautiful sandstone cliff bands and some of the best sport climbing in the Southeast. The rock here is Cumberland Plateau sandstone, and the sedimentary layering of the rock tends to form huge horizontal roofs, jugs, and slopers. The rock is generally bullet hard and provides good friction. Climbing happens year-round! Chase the shade or sun depending on the season.

Three great locations along the rive. 1. Nemo Bridge: old train tunnel you can atv/4x4 through. plus a great place to cool off in the "lazy" part of the river. 2. Lilly Bluff: Beautiful overlook of the river gorge. Best hiking trails in the area (in my opinion). World class Rock Climbing/Bouldering Yard! Plus another local brewery. 3. Potters falls: does the sound of waterfall jumping excite you. check this place out. its a local hotspot in wartburg, TN.
