Beautiful grounds right on the river. You can also go to Mayfield park and see the peacocks and check out the view from Mt. Bonnell.

This is so much more than just a gallery. The space downtown is primarily a gallery, but be sure to check out their other location at Laguna Gloria - just west on 38th St. It's one of my favorite places to go for a short hike, see some lovely outdoor sculpture, and catch a traveling exhibit inside the beautiful historic home. Plus, it's next door to Mayfield Park with it's beautiful peacocks. thecontemporaryaustin.org

This place is beautiful. It's a museum, outdoor sculpture garden, and art school located in West Austin, with trees, trails and a picturesque pond. Good place to get in your nature and art fix together.
