Balik Pulau translates to "other side of island". This is a small authentic village where you can get probably the best Laksa in Penang.

The main attraction for Durian, the King of Fruit, as well as the local Nutmeg juice, together with the delicious Laksa. It's food heaven.

Balik Pulau means the Back of the Island, where you can explore green paddy fields, fruit orchards, plantations, mangroves, fishing villages and traditional country life.

Located at the southwest part of the island, Balik Pulau is predominantly blanketed by lush greenery, sheaths of paddy fields and rolling hills. It is also the home to delectable durians, especially between May to August. there are also several farms that allow interaction with goats, horses etc.
