Another interesting street to walk up and back down. Start at Fort and Douglas and pick a side, walk about 10 blocks up to Cook street, turn around and wander back into town. Both sides of the street offer interesting window shopping of all kinds.

Fort Street is a good shopping street with some funky shops, great bookstores, and many antiques. It's best between the water and Cook Street.

There are lots of independent restaurants on Fort Street. Most of them are low to mid price. I like the Fish Curry place (on Fort near Blanchard) and La Tacqueria (also on Fort). The fish place is higher end; the taco shop is faster and less expensive food.
