Okay we put this on in for fun. If you are over in Council Bluffs and want to spend 30 minutes definitely stop by to see a piece of history.

The “Squirrel Cage Jail” is one of only three remaining “rotary jails,” all of which stand as examples of a brief obsession with keeping criminals in rotating cells.

This jail built in 1885 boasts a unique revolving design & now serves as a museum with tours.

One of the only 3 story rotary jails left in the US (possibly world). $7 for adult admission, check for hours, and definitely worth a short pop in if you're in the area esp if eating at Dixie Quicks!
