home to the first Duke of Wellington who died in 1852. Wellington's descendants still live at Apsley House, but some rooms have been restored and are available to view as part of the Wellington Museum.
This beautiful Georgian building was the London home of the first Duke of Wellington and has changed very little since his great victory at Waterloo in 1815. Revel in one of the finest art collections in London, with paintings by Velazquez and Rubens, as well as a wonderful collection of silver and porcelain.
The official address is Number One London. This house was given to the Duke of Wellington after the battle of Waterloo and is now a museum.
