At the junction of Eugeniou Voulgareos, Vrachlioti and Montsenigou streets, almost in the center of the old town was Anunciata, a church dedicated to the Annunciation of the Virgin and in St. Lucia, was the Catholic Church of Lontsiada as the Kokyers knew it. Today only the characteristic bell tower of Anunciata remains, which is a Monument of pan-European importance due to its connection with one of the most important events in world history, one of the largest naval battles ever, the naval battle of Nafpaktos in 1571 between the fleets of the Holy Alliance. it consisted of the fleets of Venice, Spain, Naples, Sicily, Genoa and Malta against the hitherto undefeated Ottoman fleet.

Στη συμβολή των οδών Ευγενίου Βουλγάρεως, Βραχλιώτη και Μοντσενίγου, στο κέντρο σχεδόν της παλιάς πόλης βρισκόνταν η Ανουντσιάτα, εκκλησία αφιερωμένη στόν Ευαγγελισμό της Θεοτόκου και στην Αγία Λουκία, ήταν η Καθολική Εκκλησία Λοντσιάδα όπως την ήξεραν οι Κερκυραίοι. Σήμερα παραμένει όρθιο μόνο το χαρακτηριστικό καμπαναριό της Ανουντσιάτας που αποτελεί Μνημείο πανευρωπαϊκής σημασίας λόγω της σχέσης του με ένα από τα σημαντικότερα γεγονότα της παγκόσμιας ιστορίας.
