Del Valle regional park is an east bay favorite because of its sheer size and massive amounts of activities that you can do. Ranging from hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, boating ,etc. This park is located next to a huge freshwater lake, which allows for plenty of activities to do. There are tons of different hiking / biking trails that allow for steep ascents / descents. There isn't that much shade so be sure to wear sunscreen !! There are also plenty of restrooms and water fountains located throughout the park so you don't have to worry about bringing that much of your own water.
