Located in the Old Town, this is one of the oldest churches on the Montenegrin coast, according to tradition, was built in the 7th century. It was a cathedral until 1828. When the Diocese of Budva was abolished. The cathedral was damaged in the earthquake of 1667, rebuilt several times, and the tall tower that dominates the city was built in 1867. Next to the church is the building of the former Episcopal Palace.

This is a symbol of the city, surrounded by narrow streets, many bars and cafes, as well as quality restaurants. it is impossible not to notice from any part of the city. The church itself is very small and while you are unlikely to be blown away by the decor or frescos, it is still worth seeing.
