One of the best places for fries (poutine is recommended) along with hot dogs / hamburgers! Fish and chips is also recommended. Try the Spruce Beer (no alcohol) - you won't be disappointed!

I grew up on the West Island, and when I started studying post-secondary downtown, Cote-Vertu metro was an inevitable stop on my way home. While waiting for my bus, this place was waiting for me. Another local grease spoon, and when I say grease, I mean GREASE dripping from your paper bag of French fries. Fresh cut potatoes, and double fried. Prepare yourself for the whiff boiling hot lard and oil as you open the front door. Another perennial best of Montreal award winner.

Try the hot dogs here and the poutine - you can thank me later! These guys are open till wee hours in the morning too.
