Very scenic beach for an easy swim with (usually) calm waters. Playa Alicia is a 15 min drive from Cabarete.

Playa Alicia is one of the newest beaches in the Dominican Republic, formed in the last decade due to a natural shift of the sand. Also known as the "miracle beach", this wide stretch of golden sand offers a couple of restaurants and bars.

Alicia Beach is the youngest beach in the northcoast. It was created about 15 years ago by a strong storm surge that deposited a huge amount of sand right against the sea wall. It has no shade trees though. Umbrellas and beach chairs are available to rent for $4 to $5 for the day.
