A lovely castle ruins with a breathtaking view of the Thames estuary. Get the train to Leigh on sea and then it's a nice half hour walk through fields (people at the station will know the way)

Fascinating ruin from this former Thames River stronghold. Great views and sunsets with flasks of hot chocolate (+rum). Picnic and kite flying.

A good walk or you can drive. You can walk there along the beach up to Leigh on Sea and then follow the country footpath
