The Norwegian Canning Museum is a small museum in the heart of Old Stavanger with exhibitions about the canning industry and worker's history. It is located in a former canning factory. On the first Sunday of every month, plus Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer season, the smoking ovens are lit. On these days you can sample freshly smoked brisling sardines straight from the ovens.

Cool museum about an important part of the cities history. Some sundays there are tastings of freshly smoked sardines.
