This beautifully restored colonial Edwardian style city hall building that is patterned after the city hall of Belfast Ireland. It is the pillar of Durban. The building locally also know as the "eThekwini City Hall". It also houses the Durban Science Museum, public library and Durban art gallery. The exterior details of this building are amazing to see and well worth a visit for photos and a selfie. It is without a doubt one of Durban's most beautiful buildings. BOTTOM LINE: Inside the science museum, it features a super rare Dodo bird skeleton and an Egyptian mummy. Pretty cool. This building was well worth the investment this community made back in 1905. What lasts over a 100 years! It is beautiful. A "MUST SEE" when visiting Durban. Out front is a statue of "Queen Victoria & Empress" that was sculpted in 1897.
