This is our top thing to do in Coolangatta, especially during the cooler months (April to September) when the Queensland heat isn’t as brutal. This is the best spot for whale watching and dolphin spotting. The Coolangatta and Point Danger Walk is one of the most stunning walking tracks on the Gold Coast. This Oceanway Walk will have you soaking up the stunning coastal views of the Gold Coast and Tweed Coast, as you follow the path, which starts from Greenmount Beach Surf Club.

See where Captain Cook sailed past the now famous surfing spot where Queensland meets New South Wales. Grab a coffee or brunch at the D'Bah cafe opposite and sit and watch the surfers or see if you can spot a whale.
