There is nice architecture in this Park. You can also see the ruins from the great Hanshin earthquake from 1995 in this park. They have preserved the damage on purpose to show the extent of the damage. Across from the park is the Port tower and then comes Harbourland (UMIE, CONCERTO CRUISE) that has lots of shopping and restaurants !

Near the harborfront has a poignant memorial to the devastating Hanshin Earthquake in 1995, which killed 6,433 people.And also great bayside location for picnic.

Meriken Park is a waterfront park located in the port city of Kobe. The park features the Kobe Port Tower, Kobe Maritime Museum, and a memorial to victims of the Great Hanshin earthquake.
