Gorgeous scenery! Cafe, great park for the kids, picnic benches and an activity centre that runs water sports. The walk around the reservoir is about 6miles if you want to do it. Parking is only £3 all day!

Definitely worth visiting now it’s reopened. Great 7/8 mile circular walk or cycle. Sailing, fishing and rowing and a great little cafe with good views over the reservoir

A great cycling/walking/dog-walking venue. Very manageable for the able-bodied (from older kids up) to make it all the way round at a steady pace on a day with fair weather. The visitor centre is set to close in 2018-19 for refurbishment, but bring your own supplies and the trails are set to remain open. There's usually a £2 charge for parking.

Also on your doorstep is the recently renovated Llys y Fran with many facilities and lovely walks. A complete circular path takes in 7 miles of stunning scenery, wildlife and woodland.
