Choose the menu or the buffet for authentic recipes. Bakery is a great place to take home delicious donuts or pies. 30 variety of pies baked daily. Visit the many speciality shops or take a carriage ride around their beautiful landscaped acres which includes a covered bridge.

This restaurant is in Middlebury, a scenic 15 minute drive away (Take CR 22 for the scenic route through Amish country). If Amish style comfort food is your thing, then you may like this. You can order off of the menu, or in the evenings they have a buffet full of fried chicken, noodles and mashed potatoes, stuffing, roast beef, salads, etc. The restaurant is located near a bunch of quaint shops.

This place is a local landmark and has it all: restaurant, bakery, shops, carriage rides, playset--even an inn! Closed on Mondays. Thursdays (May-Oct) are Cruise-In nights were car owners from all over bring their vintage and sporty vehicles to show off; guests can freely walk around & take it all in and interact with the owners.

Known for its pies, Indiana's largest restaurant serves homestyle American fare in a folksy setting.

Bit of a drive away, but worth it if you're looking for some tasty Amish food. The grounds are really beautiful to walk around (look for the covered bridge trail) during warmer months. You can also take a buggy ride and shop at one of their many shopping options. There is a menu side or family style side. Our personal favorite is the buffet option, so you can get a taste of everything. Then walk to the bakery for some take-home treats because you'll probably be too full from the fantastic dinner! Our favorite desserts at The Essenhaus are the chocolate whoopie pie, red raspberry cream pie or the butterscotch pie.
