Hod Hill, (next to Hambledon Hill) DT11 8H (13 miles) another Iron Age hill fort. Easy parking with a quick steep climb with beautiful views of course. It's about an hour's amble around. Definitely worth a visit if it's en route and even if it's not too.

A lovely walk albeit hilly but with great views. The whole area is great to explore walking. Many various walks on offer. Not far also from Shillingstone so could combine.

brilliant walking, great views and a genuine sense of history - and the short but steep walk starts outside our back gate.

The largest of Dorset's ancient Hill Forts, Hod Hill is renowned for its downland wildlife. Good walks along the river and terrific views from the top.
