Wonderful host. Very clear and respectful-and in our case helped us out beautifully in a pinch. The house is very comfortable—a classic farmhouse with plenty of amenities. The record player/vinyl collection is an added bonus. The word burning stove and the dayroom it is in is a great room to lounge in, the kitchen is well stocked, and the surrounding area is very quiet and quite pretty-wonderful hemlock groves across the main road down the hill. Not far from Livingston manor and other small nice towns. Definitely would recommend and would be happy to return. Ideal for a small group getaway. And also, though it is close to a decent sized road, in the winter when we were there for 3 nights-maybe a half dozen cars. Extremely quiet in general and at night specifically.

The home was great, we especially loved the sitting room in the morning light and the kitchen was great! Livingston Manor is a very cute town, but it was about 15-20 minutes away which was further than we thought - no fault of the house however! Where it lacked was in the instructions (unclear how to manage the trash, especially in a more remote area with potential animals) and some basic amenity challenges (lack of dish towels and there was only a small amount of dish soap).

All in all would recommend to anyone looking for a cute Hudson Valley getaway but there are a few tweaks that could make the stay a 5/5!

Maggie was great host and responded quickly to our questions. Very cute and rustic house , the kitchen hen was well equipped and cozy.

Maggie’s place was amazing! Our group absolutely loved the house! We instantly felt at home. The hammock chair, beautiful yard/outside areas, and the well stocked kitchen were some of our favorite parts of the home. We adored the decor and vibe of the home! Maggie was a fantastic host! Cannot recommend Maggie’s house enough!
