I arrived in Alaska in 1984 after graduating from UC Santa Barbara but I originally hail from the San Francisco Bay Area. Since I've been here, I've been a dog musher doing tours in the back country and worked on boats; I fished, deck handed, cooked and ultimately captained boats for 10 years.
