Great apartment, in the perfect neighborhood to discover Genova and with an absolutely lovely rooftop. Mirko is nice and available for his guests. Absolutely recommand it

Wir hatten das Apartment aufgrund der bisher positiven Bewertungen gebucht. Leider waren unsere Erwartungen anders als was wir vorgefunden haben, und wir haben daher nach einer Nacht vorzeitig storniert und uns eine andere Unterkunft gesucht. Zum einen muss man hier klar hervorheben, dass das Apartment im Rotlichtviertel von Genua ist: Die Prostituierten standen sehr leicht bekleidet vor den Nachbar-Hauseingängen und wir mussten an ihnen vorbei gehen, um ins Apartment zu kommen. Das war zwar in der Beschreibung angedeutet, die Realität war jedoch noch expliziter als wir uns das vorgestellt hatten. Zwar gab es keinerlei Konflikte oder Ansprachen, aber meine Frau hat sich verständlicherweise sehr unwohl gefühlt. Ich könnte mir auch nicht vorstellen, mit Kindern dort zu übernachten. Im Haus selbst waren ein Grossteil der Wohnungen auf einer Hausseite behördlich wegen Statikproblemen geschlossen, vor einer anderen Wohnung lag Müll.

The apartment itself if as described and in the pictures with the terrace as a highlight. The extra room for 25 euros is a must as it brings natural light to the kitchen area. However, I think it's important to highlight that there are multiple sex workers at all hours of the day directly outside the apartment entrance and the next two adjoining streets. Saturday evening was quite confronting as multiple men were hanging about in large groups around the street making it feel unsafe walking to and from the apartment entrance. I would recommend this place to older couples or seasoned travellers, but not to women travelling alone or in a pair who could feel uneasy. We enjoyed our stay with local dinners and great train trips to coastal areas, including local beaches!
