A very relaxing couple of days, fantastic setting, loved the views on a sunny, crisp autumnal morning. The fire place was very well used and added to the ambience of the stay! Great to sit on the deck having a coffee in the morning. Close to the canals too if you’re keen to go fishing.

Pretty disappointed. While this place looked amazing, we were appalled by mouse droppings in every room, in and on the couch, in the pantry, laundry, all through the drawers including the cutlery drawers - everywhere. I’ve waited awhile to post this as I hoped the host would have at least taken some responsibility for the disgusting state this house was left in after we communicated with her straight away. We spent over two hours sourcing mouse traps in town, setting them and then cleaning all surfaces in the house. The host basically told us, well it’s rural area.
I live rural too, but I wouldn’t expect paying guest to have to sanitise and clean the filth.
We also have taken photos of areas to show if required. Yes we caught mice in the traps, and also heard them in the roof space at night while we tried to sleep. There was also only 4 rolls of toilet paper for a family of 4 for 3 nights. No cooking oil as stated or pepper. The cleanliness in general not taking into consideration the droppings was also not up to standard. Sorry mate, but take some responsibility.

Great house in an amazing location, ideal for a few days taking in the high country. Will definitely be back!
