City Ordinance No. 1591 explicitly prohibits Short Term Rentals throughout Fountain Valley, CA. A short term rental is defined as “the rental of a residential dwelling or a portion thereof for a period of 30 consecutive days or less.”

You may host for longer than 30 days in Fountain Valley, CA. Exemptions
